The Office of Access and Ability utilizes a third-party software called . It is a secure, web-based application that manages communication from our office, including meeting requests and follow-ups involving accommodation issues. 

Students receiving an email from Maxient will see a link to the correspondence sent from 91ÖÆÆ·³§ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø. 

Maxient also allows 91ÖÆÆ·³§ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø to send text messages to students if their cell phone number is on file. This means that our office can send individual texts to students with a link to the communication sent via Maxient. 

If you receive an email or text from Maxient, this is a legitimate email from the university. 

Important Deadlines

• Incoming/New Students: Housing accommodation request deadline – April 30
• Returning Students: Housing accommodation request deadline – March 20

Documentation Requirements

• Current documentation from a licensed healthcare provider
• Documentation should identify the student’s diagnosis, describe functional limitations related to housing, and include a clear recommendation for the requested accommodation(s)
• All housing accommodation documentation should be emailed to: kholmes@tuskegee.edu

Necessary ESA Agreements

The following Agreements will be needed in reference to an Emotional Support Animal (ESA):

• ESA Counseling Agreement
• ESA Agreement

The Office of Access and Ability will inform the appropriate university unit of your notification. Please be prepared to provide relevant information such as:

• Building Name
• Classroom Number
• Elevator Location
• Door Opener Location
• Other pertinent information not listed above
