BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Dr. David McKenzie has taught at 91ÖÆÆ·³§ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø College of Veterinary Medicine for over 30 years. During this time he has helped to train over 1500 veterinarians. One of just a few African American large animal internal medicine specialists in the world, he enjoys the challenges of teaching new veterinary students each year. International veterinary medicine is a special passion. He has worked with colleagues in the Caribbean and in Africa, and has helped over 100 foreign veterinarians to become licensed in the USA. In his spare time he enjoys reading and traveling with his wife Veronica, son Brian and daughter Catherine.
RESEARCH INTEREST
Mentoring PhD student in Integrative Biomedical Sciences. Currently working on adapting non-traditional suture materials for surgical usage in developing countries.
