NCDA conference

Congratulations to the 91ÖÆÆ·³§ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø, College of Veterinary Medicine, Graduate Public Health Program's (TUCVM) staff member, Mrs. Samina Akhter, on completing training as the only representative from 91ÖÆÆ·³§ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø at the National Global Career Development Association (NCDA) International Conference held on June 24 -28, 2024 in San Diego, California. Mrs. Akhter took two four-hour courses each: PDI #1 - Career Construction Counseling for Well-Being and Success, and PDI #5 - The Interconnection of Career Theories and Mental Health: 2023 Counselor Educator Academy.

Mrs. Akhter is the Assistant Director of Analytics & Career Placement and Certified Career Service Provider in TUCVM’s Department of Graduate Public Health.

Attending this training fulfills the requirement for Public Health’s accreditation Criteria H2 Career Advising (SPH & PHP) School of Public Health & Public Health Programs 2024 which is required to provide an evidence document explaining how career advisors are trained to understand the needs of a diverse student body and to address students’ career needs and support their success.
